Accord secures a new contract to deliver Extra Care in Stoke-On-Trent

Leading care provider, Accord Housing Association, has secured a new contract to deliver care services into two extra care villages in Stoke-On-Trent.
The contract includes the delivery of care at both West End Village and Rowan Village and began on October 01, 2019.
Both schemes provide 24/7 care for older people with health and social care needs. Accord has been awarded the contract to provide the care service at both sites for three years, with the potential to extend for a further two years.
Maxine Espley, Executive Director for Health, Social Care and Support at Accord said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by Stoke-on-Trent City Council, to provide the care and support to customers living in West End Village and Rowan Village.
“We are passionate about the delivery of high quality care and we look forward to working with the Council, and the landlord to ensure we meet the needs of our new customers at these two sites. We have been working closely for some weeks with the staff team, customers and their families to ensure continuity of care and support for everyone living in these two services.”
Councillor Ann James, cabinet member for health and adult social care added: “We are absolutely committed to ensuring residents living in our care facilities receive high quality care. We are looking forward to working closely with Accord to ensure residents continue to receive care that best meets their individual needs.”
Dave Allock, Housing Manager at Staffs Housing, said: “Staffs Housing are looking forward to working with Accord to provide care and support services to our residents living in West End and Rowan Village. We will work closely with all parties involved in this contract to make sure the best service is provided to everyone living in our extra care villages.”
